Forsyth betters the best! This book is an example of how an author can take just one simple incident, a slice of life, and transform it into a thriller that leaves the reader breathless with anticipation, wanting more with each passing page.

This is a 1970s thriller that I suppose would be labled "historical fiction" or a "historical novel"... Remember, however, the book is indeed fiction even though it has true historical characters like Eduard Roschmann and Simon Wiesenthal.

Forsyth has written a believable thriller. The book move along with very little padding.
